Transitional Kindergarten is for children who are eligible for kindergarten but may benefit from another year to grow and mature.  This program provides a literacy-rich environment where children can play with language in a variety of ways. Children are encouraged to express their thoughts through spoken and written language and through the arts. Math concepts are explored using manipulatives, blocks and sensory play. Other T/K experiences include process art, explorative science, small group games, creative movement and music. This special program gives children the opportunity to take their learning "on the road" with field trips and service projects.
