News & Annoucements

On Sunday, February 5, worship services in the Sanctuary will be at 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00 a.m. A newly commissioned anthem by composer Stephen Paulus will be premiered at all three services, honoring longtime Chancel Choir member Harriette Thompson. It is titled My Help Comes From The Lord

The more informal Church In The Round service will be at 8:45 a.m. in Jubilee Hall. Several enhancements have been made to staging, seating, video clips and more, aimed at creating more intimacy and warmth. Church In The Round began in 1997, offering an informal alternative to Sanctuary worship. Jubilee Hall is upstairs in the Parish Life Building.

This is Scout Sunday. Scouts at the church will wear their uniforms and sit together in worship. Scouts will also collect grocery bags that members have filled with nonperishables for Loaves & Fishes food pantry. The bags can also be returned during the week at the front desk in the lobby of the Parish Life Building.

Holy Communion is typically at 9:30 a.m. in the small chapel beside the Sanctuary, except when it is celebrated in worship.

Child care for worship is offered for age five and under. No reservations are needed.

An information desk in the lobby of the Parish Life Building is open on Sunday mornings for those with questions.

The shuttle bus that runs continuously Sunday mornings between the church and Myers Park Traditional School runs from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with pick-up and drop-off under the portico of the Parish Life Building. Please park in the second lot at the school. Shuttle ridership is increasing dramaticaly, as more people discover the convenience.
