WISH (Workforce Initiative for Supportive Housing)

Charlotte-based WISH helps families move from homelessness to permanent housing. Rental subsidies, social workers, and volunteer Hope teams provide support as families move into apartments in areas based on where they work or where their children attend school. WISH families move from programs such as Family Promise, Charlotte Emergency Housing and the Salvation Army. Volunteer Hope teams from area congregations provide love, support and encouragement as their WISH partner families make the transition.
