Would you like to speak with a counselor? Stephen Ministry - Stephen Ministry is a distinctively Christian program of one-on-one caring ministries for those experiencing difficult life challenges in our congregation and community. Stephen Ministers work with persons dealing with loneliness, terminal illness, spiritual crisis, aging, separation or divorce, loss of a loved one and other life transitions. Prayer Ministry - A team of more than 30 volunteers pray for the many prayer requests that come in each week. Requests are confidential and stay active for one month. Prayer requests can be updated by sending additional E-Mails. Want to learn more? E-Mail Carmen Rivera at crivera@mpumc.org.

The Congregational Care Ministry serves church members in a variety of ways:
Casseroles - More than 600 casseroles are distributed annually to church members in times of crisis or bereavement, and to new parents.
End of Life Planning – Information and Planning booklets are available in the Main Lobby and useful for organizing helpful information needed at the end of life, including funeral plans.
Lay Homebound Visitation – Support and care is provided for homebound members by lay visitors.
Lay Hospital Visitation – Lay ministers visit hospitalized members, typically on Fridays and weekends.
Marriage Enrichment – We offer Marriage Matters workshops throughout the year. Marriage Matters I is primarily designed for premarital couples or recently married couples and is offered in August and February. Marriage Matters 2 is especially designed for married couples and targets couples in the first seven years of marriage when 50% of divorces occur. Using lectures, PowerPoint, video and couples sharing, Rev. Roth offers the knowledge and skills to have a marriage that matters. Details: Carmen Rivera at 704-295-4818 or crivera@mpumc.org.
