250 men seek shelter each night at the Uptown Men’s Shelter.   MPUMC provides and serves a meal to these men on the third Wednesday of every month, and on the first and third Wednesdays during June, July, and August.  (A total of 15 times per year.)

Each time we serve it costs approximately $280.  We need your help to cover this cost.  To contribute, please send a check payable to MPUMC, marked “Shelter Food”.  Perhaps your Sunday school class, Disciple class, or other group could collectively sponsor one meal.

Our members also set-up and serve the meal at the Shelter.  If you can help with set-up at 3:30 or serving at 5:30 on a Wednesday, contact Kelly Sercer at ksercer@lee-lighting.com, 704-222-3634.
