The Young Adult Ministry at Myers Park UMC offers a variety of opportunities for Young Adults in their 20s and 30s, singles and couples, to get involved, be in service, connect with one another, and grow in their faith.

Small Groups:

Praying in Color led by Jennifer Martin

Prayer is a communication and conversation with God. In this 3 week study we will practice intercessory prayer in an active, meditative, and playful way using the book, Praying in Color: Drawing a New Path to God by Sybil MacBeth.

Fall Series: saints and their stories

Book Study: Servants, Misfits and Martyrs: Saints and Their Stories by Dr. James Howell.


Learn more about Dr. Howell's personal favorite stories in this book about Saints.  In the collection, he shares both stories that are centuries old and personal encounters with influential people.  Dr. Howell says the stories have, "invaded [his] imagination and made [him] into somebody [he] wasn't before [he] heard them."

Weekly Gatherings

Samaritan Class meets Sunday mornings at 9:45 in Room 108 in the Parish Life Building. This group also has an active in social events and service projects. For more information, contact Jessica Mitchell, jessica0904@gmail.com.

Young Adult Class, Sundays at 9:45am, Youth Buiding Room 259.  Singles and couples welcome.

Young Adult Fellowship, Sundays at 7:00pm, Room 104. Open to 20s and 30s, singles and couples welcome.

Women's Book Study meets on Sundays at 5:00.  All young women welcome. Contact Jennifer Martin for study topics and schedule.

Young Couples Small Group, Wednesdays at 7:00pm in Room 025. Beginning September 15th.
