The Young Adult Ministry at Myers Park UMC offers a variety of opportunities for Young Adults in their 20s and 30s, singles and couples, to get involved, be in service, connect with one another, and grow in their faith.

The Methodist church has been serving inner-city residents of Rio de Janeiro through the People’s Central Institute since 1906. The institute offers daycare and preschool to over 250 children and, with the help of Myers Park UMC, has recently expanded to offer adult vocational programs and English classes. This year’s team will partner with the Methodist Church on ICP’s campus to offer a Vacation Bible School for the children in the area. We will also do some construction work to improve ICP’s facilities and of course spend time together in meaningful worship and fellowship.

Samaritan Class (young couples) meets Sunday mornings at 9:45 in Room 108 in the Parish Life Building. This group also has an active in social events and service projects. For more information, contact Blake Brookshire, jblakebrookshire@gmail.com.

Young Adult Fellowship, Sundays at 7:30pm, Room 104. Open to 20s and 30s, singles and couples welcome. On recess during summer months - but will return in the fall!
