Myers Park’s Strategic Plan heard God calling us to grow in faith, “enlarging our sphere of action until it overflows.” In 2010, we will build on that call, exploring how, as Christians, we grow in our faith. We will also be introducing new tools to help us all, from infants to senior adults, continue the lifelong journey of growing in love and faithfulness to God.
Growing in Faith Guidebooks
We are excited to unveil these new resources, offering helpful information in two volumes for parents of children and youth to help them encourage the faith development in their families, as well as information in a third volume for adults of all ages to encourage and guide a lifelong commitment to growing in our relationship with God.

The Myers Park Faith Academy

The Myers Park Faith Academy will meet twice each year for short-term courses in the key habits and practices that make us Christians. The courses, led by our staff and leading scholars and experts from the community, offer the chance to better understand such things as worship, prayer, Scripture, and service.
Faith Academy is October 4-28.

Grow Groups
Do you ever feel you have yet to make a real connection at Myers Park United Methodist Church? In such a large church, perhaps now more than ever, we need to be connected one to another in the Body of Christ, growing, sharing, and caring for one another. Grow Groups are where you are missed if you don’t show up; it’s a place where you belong. Grow Groups empower faith growth, connection in fellowship, study, mission, and prayer, with some real life thrown in.
MPUMC has enjoyed small groups throughout our history; Grow Groups will connect more of us and are available for you to choose one that suits your needs and schedule. Each Grow Group is from 7-12 weeks with sessions of approximately 1 ½ hours. What are you waiting for?
