At 9:45 a.m. each Sunday, nearly 20 classes of all types meet at the church for study, fellowship and prayer. Many gather at the holidays and at other times for social gatherings. Adults 55 and over - Adults Plus!
Adults Plus! is a caring Christian Community which enriches the lives of adults 55 and over, through opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, education, servant ministry and travel.
Camp Tekoa
Two weekends, one in spring and one in fall, are scheduled to provide family-oriented, children-friendly opportunities to get to meet and know others in a stress-free way.

Disciple Bible Study
DISCIPLE is a global, nondenominational program that has impacted the lives of over 1.5 million people over the past 20 years. It is a foundational building block at the heart of our church where more than 700 people have now completed at least one course in the series. Some have taken two or more classes! Everyone begins with Disciple 1: Becoming Disciple through Bible Study, the prerequisite for other more advanced classes.

Mary Circle
The Mary Circle meets the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in room 104 for discussion, fellowship, and service. The group is made up of moms in their 30s and 40s. All women are welcome. Details: Katharine Willis at kcwillis@carolina.rr.com or Jamie Curtis at jamieccurtis@gmail.com.

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a distinctively Christian program of training and organizing laypersons for one-on-one caring ministries to those experiencing difficult life challenges in our congregation and community. Stephen Ministers work with persons dealing with loneliness, terminal illness, spiritual crisis, aging, separation or divorce, loss of a loved one and other life transitions.

Wesley Trust
The Wesley Trust is a cherished part of life at Myers Park United Methodist Church. It was founded in 1983, primarily to create an endowment to focus on capital projects related to sustaining the campus and buildings. Much of the money has gone for repairing and protecting the beautiful stonework for which the church is known.

Year Through The Bible
The church in 2009 experienced Year Through The Bible, a journey in which participants read through the Bible together. Supplementing the readings were a year’s worth of special events, including study groups, evening lectures, the Families of Abraham photo exhibit, a community Seder and much more.
Young Adults
Myers Park UMC offers a variety of opportunities for Young Adults to get involved, be in service, connect with one another, and grow in their faith.
