Alleluia and Junior Choirs are invited to join us for fellowship time from 4:45-5:55 p.m.

The Alleluia Choir is Kindergarten (children who will be in first grade fall of 2012) and First grade students who learn at an early age the importance of worship.  This choir will be music leaders for various worship services plus Blessing of the Animals and Kneeling at the Manger.
Rehearsal: Wednesday, 5:00-5:45 p.m., Room 141, Snyder Building

The Junior Choir is students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade who continue their faith journey through the art of singing. They begin to learn how to read music, to sing in parts, learn hymns and songs of faith and understand the meaning of worship. The Junior Choir will serve as music leaders for various worship services plus singing in the Hymn Sing, Christmas Concert, and Kneeling at the Manger.
Rehearsal: Wednesday, 5:00-5:45 p.m., Room 141 & 148, Snyder Building

Youth Choir - resumes Sunday, September 11
The Youth Choir, comprised of 6th - 12th graders, is an excellent way for teens to grow together both spiritually and musically. The Youth Choir performs a variety of worship song styles and  enjoys music leadership opportunities in worship services throughout the year.  Rehearsals: Sundays 4:30 p. m.- 5:30 p.m. in the Youth Choir Room located on the second floor in the Youth Building.

High School Instrumentalists
Our program also offers expression of our faith through the playing of instruments.  For those in high school who play an instrument in a band, orchestra, or play the piano we want to know.  Many times we are looking for instrumentalists to accompany the youth and children’s choirs.  There are solo opportunities during worship and special occasions for those interested.  Those who play the piano and would like to have the experience of accompanying either the children’s choir or youth choir are welcome.

Volunteer Opportunities for Children and Youth Music
Adults who enjoy music and working with children and youth are encouraged to find out the many ways they can be utilized.  You don’t have to know how to play an instrument or sing to be involved in the music ministry for the young.
