January-May 2012 Events

Epiphany Party & Service Project  for 1st & 2nd graders -- Friday, January 6
First and second graders gather for an Epiphany Party and babyshower for Jesus.  They enjoy an appropriate art/craft activity, play games, enjoy refreshments and a King's Cake.  Children bring baby items, which are donated to Florence Crittenton Services (a private nonprofit agency dedicated to helping our most vulnerable young mothers and their babies).

Wonderfully Made – Sunday, February 26
Fifth graders and their parents participate in a one-day retreat where they learn about God's plan for them to grow and change as they move from childhood to adolescence and then to adulthood. The changes that are occurring part of God's plan for them. Parents and church are here to guide them through this time. There is a registration fee for this event which covers materials and lunch for the participants. Registration information is mailed mid-January.

Pajama Party for Preschoolers & Kindergarteners – Friday, February 10
All children kindergarten age and younger are invited to come to church in their pajamas and enjoy a fun-filled evening of activities, milk & cookies, and a special bedtime story.

Fourth Grade Lock-In --
This beautiful, inviting church feels pretty spooky at night -- one of the reasons the fourth graders love to be locked in for an overnight!  They enjoy games, a movie, snacks, and a light breakfast.  During the evening, they also participate in a service/outreach project.
