For those who have registered for VBS 2008 more information will be mailed to you the first week of June.
What: Vacation Bible School, a four-day morning program in June for children ages three through fifth grade, offers children and adults a chance to explore a Bible story or character in depth. A day at VBS includes worship, games, Bible stories, and opportunities to be in service to others. Children in grades four and five spend the week off campus engaged in service to others at places such as the food pantry, Crisis Assistance, Bethlehem Center, and Charlotte Green gardens. Child care for infant, toddlers, and twos is provided for VBS adult leaders and teachers. Registration is in early spring. There is no charge for VBS. All are invited to participate!
Summer Fun Days 2008 Register: Download registration form. Please print the form and either mail it or bring it to the church. (Online registration is not yet available.) When: week of July 7th and week of July 14th Who: toddlers through Fifth grade Time: varies for each age group Information to be mailed March 1, 2008. Registration begins March 10th and ends on June 2nd.
What: For two weeks in July, MPUMC becomes the place for summer fun for children and adults from toddlers through fifth grade. Preschool children enjoy outdoor play, storytellers, magicians, gooey snacks, and each other. Elementary children play putt-putt, swim at Happy Lake, attend a play at CPCC, and fill their days with many other activities. A special part of SFD is the offering which is collected for a specific cause each summer and the two trips that the elementary children take to Aldersgate to visit and entertain its residents. Registration is in the early spring, with the cost of the event due at the time of registration. All are invited to participate!
Summer Sunday School offers a time for a variety of activities during the Sunday school hour. Preschool children enjoy smaller classes and many hands-on activities which enhance the lessons. Elementary children enjoy regular use of the computers, videos, and the kitchen as the explore the stories of our faith. Happenin' Holy Events happen monthly.
